Early Working Experience
In 2007, I graduated from the University of Washington as a board-certified Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. One of my first jobs was as a nurse manager of the Addiction Recovery Services unit at the Swedish Medical Center. This experience allowed me to facilitate coping skill training, educate nursing staff, and provide care to patients struggling with mental health disorders and substance abuse.
Later on, I managed the Behavioral Health Services department. This includes an inpatient psychiatric unit and the electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) department.
Private Practice and Certification
I have been in private practice since 2011. Two years later, I became a certified sex therapist with the American Association for Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT).
Personal Interests
I enjoy running, family, good food, travel, and feel privileged to have a job I truly love. A profession where people confide in me their most personal stories that demonstrate the resilience of the human spirit that inspires me daily.
